Soma Pilates - Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: 30/12/2025

1. Class Structure and Schedule
  • Pilates classes run in blocks per school term. Each block consists of 10-weekly sessions, unless otherwise specified.

  • One-on-one sessions (Reformer or Mat Pilates) are available individually by appointment.

  • Group classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays unless otherwise notified.

  • Blocks and sessions are scheduled in advance, with dates confirmed on the website or via email.

2. Booking and Payment
  • Group Block Classes: Payment is required upfront to secure a place in the block.

  • One-on-One Sessions: Payment is required at the completion of the session.

  • Casual classes are available subject to space and can only be booked once the block has started.

  • Bookings are prioritised for block participants.

3. Cancellations and Missed Classes
  • Block bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable once the block has commenced.

  • Missed classes are not eligible for a refund or credit, and cannot be carried over into future blocks, except in extenuating circumstances (e.g., serious illness or injury) and must be discussed with the studio.

  • Where availability allows, participants may attend a make-up class within the same block only. Make-up classes are not guaranteed and are subject to space and approval by the studio.

  • Make-up classes cannot be transferred, credited, or refunded if not used within the block period.

  • In the event that a class is cancelled by the studio due to low enrolment or unforeseen circumstances, participants will be offered an alternative class where possible or a refund.

  • One-on-One Sessions: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged in full. Soma's usual appointment cancellation policy applies.

4. Minimum and Maximum Participants
  • Group classes are limited to 6 participants to ensure quality and safety.

  • A minimum of 4 enrolled participants is required for a class to run. The studio will notify participants in advance if a class is cancelled due to low numbers. Participants will be offered alternative sessions or a refund if required.

5. Health and Safety
  • Pilates classes are physio-led and involve physical activity. Participation is at your own risk.

  • Clients must inform the instructor of any injuries, medical conditions, or concerns prior to class.

  • All participants are required to complete and sign a consent form before attending their first class or session. This form acknowledges the risks of physical activity, records any relevant medical information, and confirms agreement to studio safety guidelines and Terms & Conditions.

  • Participants who have not signed the consent form will not be permitted to attend.

  • The studio reserves the right to remove participants from a class or session if safety or behaviour concerns arise.

6. Behaviour and Studio Etiquette
  • Clients are expected to treat the instructor and other participants with respect.

  • Disruptive or unsafe behaviour may result in removal from the class without refund.

7. Liability
  • The studio is not liable for personal injury, lost or damaged property, or any adverse outcomes arising from participation in Pilates classes or sessions.

  • Clients participate at their own risk, and should consult a medical professional if unsure about participation.

8. Modifications and Progression
  • Classes are designed to progress over the block, allowing participants to gradually increase strength, mobility, and control.

  • Modifications are always offered for individual needs, injuries, or beginners.

9. Changes to Schedule or Terms
  • The studio reserves the right to adjust class times, dates, or terms with reasonable notice.

  • Participants will be notified of any changes via email or website updates.

10. Booking Confirmation
  • By booking a group block or one-on-one session, participants acknowledge and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
