The Team

Casey Irving

Lead Physio / Director

At Soma, Casey leads with calm confidence and deep care. Bringing a thoughtful and holistic approach to physiotherapy, she takes the time to listen, educate, and empower her patients - supporting them on their journey toward better movement and long-term wellbeing.  Her practice is grounded in evidence-based care and shaped by a deep commitment to helping people return to the activities they love, feeling strong, confident, and in control.

Casey's qualifications include:

  • Bachelor of Health Science (Physiotherapy)

  • Postgraduate Certificate in Western Acupuncture

  • Advanced Dry Needling

  • APPI Pilates Instructor​

​

Her career has taken her to the international stage as the Lead Physio for the New Zealand Women's U16, U17 and U20 national football teams. Highlights include:

  • FIFA U17 Women's World Cup - India

  • FIFA U20 Women's World Cup - Columbia

​

She also works closely with elite-level New Zealand gymnasts and serves as a Senior Judge for Gymnastics New Zealand.​ This extensive sports experience has shaped her proactive, prevention-first philosophy and her ability to tailor care to each individual, whether they're returning to high-performance sport, work, or everyday movement.​

Georgia East

Physiotherapist

Georgia takes a thoughtful, holistic approach to physiotherapy, combining evidence-based practice with a genuine interest in understanding each person’s goals and challenges. She is passionate about women's health, supporting clients to feel strong, confident, and informed in their bodies at every stage of life. This includes guidance through pregnancy and postpartum recovery, as well as the management of pelvic health concerns such as bladder or bowel issues and pelvic pain. Alongside this, she integrates Pilates-based rehabilitation to help people build strength, confidence, and long-term wellbeing through movement.

Georgia's qualifications include:​

  • Bachelor of Health Science (Physiotherapy)

  • Post Graduate Pelvic Health Training credentialed by Dr Melissa Davidson​

  • Suna Pilates Instructor Training

​

Her experience spans both public and private practice, giving her a strong foundation in patient care across a variety of settings. This background has shaped her belief that great rehabilitation is about more than just treatment - it’s about working in partnership with people to help them return to the activities they love.

​

Outside the clinic, you’ll find Georgia enjoying Pilates, running, walking and spending quality time with her loved ones.
